When things are not always what they appear to be
I love this tree in Richmond Park. I walked past it every day during lockdown on my daily walks. I first saw in it in depths of winter and assumed it was dead; it was lying on its side, some of the roots were exposed and it looked like it had been through the mill. Now it is thriving, full of leaves and life in the spring sunshine.
It’s Mental Health Week and it made me think about this tree. Some of us have also been through the mill in some shape or form, but despite it are now thriving and then some of us look on the surface that we have it all together, but actually some of our roots are exposed. Be kind folks, look after each other, check in on those who always seem ok. Sometimes everything is not what it appears.
